East German Corner

Gravel bike touring route through the incredible Saxony Switzerland region in the East of Germany

Saxony Switzerland is, most probably, the best region in Northern Germany for cyclist (and hikers, and anyone who loves the outside world in general). Huge (ok, reasonable sized) sandstone cliffs just out from every direction as the Elbe river speeds by (the speed of the river is insane).

This tour starts out following an old railway line, complete with sketchy bridge crossings and dark as heck tunnel before heading off over into Czechia because, as we all know - bike border crossing is fun.
